ABOUT OUR TEAM
We are a locally owned safari company based in Malindi and Watamu in Kenya. Our guides grew up in the regions we travel through — they know the wildlife, the people and the hidden places that don’t appear in guidebooks.
For us, a safari is not about ticking boxes. It’s about respect for nature, time to observe, and meaningful encounters. From every booked safari or excursion, a portion goes to support our PAMOJA-mitanand community project.
Why PAMOJA MITANAND?
In Swahili, the word “PAMOJA” means together. In 2019, Lisi, Claudia and their team founded the association PAMOJA-mitanand. The word “mitanand” comes from the Vorarlberg dialect in Austria, where Lisi comes from, and also means together.
Since our company is not only about creating memories for our guests and jobs for our guides and drivers, but also about supporting and strengthening the local community, we chose the name PAMOJA MITANAND SAFARIS.
